Pull up a chair …

Taking on The Foresters Inn
David Gordon-Smith and John Holbeck recently took over as landlords of the wonderful Foresters Arms in Graffham. They know the area well, living just up the road in Stoughton. David is especially fond of Graffham, having studied at Seaford College which is just a few minutes away.
Before taking over at The Foresters, David and John opened what is now an extremely popular tapas restaurant – Arties Kitchen, in Chichester.
Always up for a new adventure, the pair enjoyed a serendipitous meeting with a man called Peter Bradley which resulted in the offer of David and John taking over the lease of The Foresters!
Restoration
When David and John took over, the inn had been closed for over two years. It was in great need of a sympathetic update and some serious attention, both financially and emotionally. Happily, David and John were keen to take on the task.
Having found a restoration team that experience in this kind of project, the internal appearance of the inn was totally transformed. David and John are delighted with the finished look and feel of The Foresters Arms, and hope very much that the village locals are too.
Both David and John, along with their staff manager Sebastian and resident chef look forward to welcoming all who visit the beautiful village of Graffham and surrounding South Downs National Park. From locals to campers, cyclists to ramblers and of course our canine friends too, we can’t wait to meet you.
Cheers!
